Both Deborah and I were honoured to be asked to host an event at Jimmy Choo, in aid of Wellbeing of Women. I cannot tell you how important the work this charity funds is.
The event was opened by Fiona Leishman- their Chief Executive- who spoke so eloquently .
“Wellbeing of Women funds much-needed research into crucial female health issues including miscarriage, stillbirth, gynaecological cancers, endometriosis and menopause.”
They remain one of the very few sources of funding for these areas. Most of us, if not already, will be effected by these issues and if we can do anything to raise money to ensure our daughters generation gets better treatment, then we should help where we can.
With 15% of the proceeds on the night going to the charity, Deborah and I were there to help people find the perfect piece to invest in. Be it a bag, shoes, sunglasses or perfume.
We want to help people buy something they will treasure and have forever when they invest… If you are wearing great shoes, they take you great places.
Both Deborah and I are fervent advocates of the highstreet, vintage and preloved but we also believe in investing where you can, in items that will be the bedrock of your wardrobe- and nothing beats a fabulous ‘Choo’.
Thank you to all the donors who welcomed us so warmly and made the event such a special one.
It was great to catch up with Tara Lalvani and I look forward to interviewing Tara for the blog.
I was craving a pair of red shoes and this colour turned out to be super popular, as well as navy.
These events are a great way to meet new people and network, not to mention relax with a glass of bubbly.
Also a huge thank you to Jimmy Choo! The staff worked so hard on the night- I cannot recommend the Sloane Square Branch highly enough. The staff are all so helpful and knowledgeable.
The shoe we all adored- The Trinny. Forget about buying a new party dress or outfit, invest in these shoes! You can dress them up or down and the support the ankle strap gives you, means that they are really comfortable.
I fell in love with the Lilith– this is what I call a statement ‘Choo’.
The Abel is my go to shoe. If I have to wear a heel nothing beats this for comfort and wow factor.
If you have a launch or charity event that you would like us to help you with, please don’t hesitate to contact Deborah and I on firstname.lastname@example.org. Deborah is a super talented stylist and the person I go for advice.
A big thank you to Alex Taibel, she is the most talented photographer and I love how you have captured the magic of the night.
Please sign up to the Wellbeing of Women website; you will be automatically invited to their next event. Wishing you all a great weekend- and if you did invest in some Choos, don’t save them! Put them on and enjoy them.
There should be no such thing as best.
