Grays Antiques (just 5 mins from Selfridges in London) is one of my favourite places to shop.  Head downstairs to Vintage Modes for the best vintage clothes and Arabella Bianco have the best selection of jewellery.

It was here that I bought a belted blazer and I have worn it non-stop since.  The belting is brilliant over leggings or joggers and the fit is so figure flattering.  I went for brown as I felt like a change from khaki and I wanted to dress down some bright silks.

A belted jacket takes inches off your waist.  I wear mine with a vest underneath or t-shirt but in the Winter I can also wear a polo neck.

You can check out kimono jackets too but they are harder to wear as they tend to fall open.  COS have an amazing one in denim which is on my Sales List.

Belted Balzer

This is a classic style that you can pick up from vintage stores or eBay or any other preloved store – check out the Real Real.  If you want a new one check out Reiss or the Outnet.

Another option is to take an oversized blazer and belt it as I have below. The trousers are Topshop and top from SK Vintage.

A belted jacket works so well over wide legged trousers or leggings the shape balances out the look. It really does make you look slimmer and is a fresh take on the blazer and it is one of my key looks for 2017. I also love the look over a midi skirt as other blazers and jackets just don’t work.
