My birthday got off to a wonderful start with breakfast arranged by one of my bests friend Nuzy, at Berners Tavern. There has been so much written up about this venue but it really does live up to its reputation. We were met by Bita Ramezankhan, she is a perfect example of what a Reservations Manager should be and such an asset to the restaurant. She greeted me so warmly and as Nuzy was stuck in traffic, she offered me a tour of the venue. They are offering great packages at the moment, I know a few friends of mine with babies were looking for somewhere to escape to for a good nights sleep but still close enough to home if there were problems and then host drinks and dinner with friends. This is the place to book.

The bar are is stunning but does get busy Bita showed me the lovely Malt Room, where you can book and that is sit down only. I think this room would be great in Winter as it has a lovely open fire.

The main restaurant is open plan with lovely booths, perfect for dinner with friends, the art work and décor mean that you will always find something new to look at as well as fantastic people watching. The service was excellent and the restaurant is very unpretentious. The food was fabulous and quick.
I will be heading back with some friends and I would also take the children for a special lunch. Wearing a top and shorts combination from Maje,( on sale at Selfridges at the moment) Celine slides and Victoria Beckham bag. ( love this white one on sale at My Theresa. I do love red handbags as they somehow go with everything. This red one from Givenchy is in my Vestaire Collective Wishlist.
