I had heard of Clarissa Hulse, one of the leading lights of the textile world but had never made it to her Islington Design Studio.

Clarissa stuck in my mind because of her beautiful use of colour and her incorporation of nature into her designs and I jumped at the chance to take a look at her studio.

Her business has now branched out from fabric, to wallpaper, lampshades, cushions and bed linen. I fell in love with her unique artwork and I have my eye on this piece for my office and at eighty five pounds it is affordable.

I love meeting people who have a passion and have pursued  it, Clarissa is certainly one of these and she has carved out a business empire for herself. She is now stocked in John Lewis, Heals and Liberty. On top of all this she deals with all the chaos that comes with two young children!

She also stocks a great range of smaller items which are beautifully presented and I stocked up on amazing soaps,( I love the fig and almond) lavender cushions and small vases. Loving the small vases and have been filling them with individual flowers.

She is really well priced and again a local business we should support.

We all fell in love with these lampshades love the inside detail, I have my eye on the white one with the pink interior for Luella’s room  Thanks to Jemima for introducing us!
