I was introduced to Cocorose by a friend from school Mine, when she told me about the brand my initial thoughts were, I won’t like it, she mentioned ‘fold up ‘ shoe and my head went to the pairs that I had received over the years as Christmas presents, used once but discarded as uncomfortable and ugly.
Not the case with Cocorose, I am so excited to share this brand with you.
I headed to their showroom where I met Janan Leo, who founded the brand in 2007 and she showed me the full range.
It is not until you put one of these shoes on that its brilliance emerges.
They are like wearing slippers that you care wear outside and since I picked up my pair they have not left my side.
So lets start with the aesthetic, there are colours and styles to suit everyone. What I immediately fell in love with, were the simple ballet pumps called Sandringham in the most beautiful shade of nude.
When you are constantly on the go, it is all about the flat and I have tried them all, the brogue, the loafer and this summers hit the lace up flat but in reality nothing beats a good simple ballet pump.
I love that it does not take over an outfit, this shoe is a keeper and will not come and go with the varying trends.
Now to how they feel on, well they are cushioned at the heel so they do not dig in, a real gripe with traditional fold up shoes and they are padded under the ball of the foot so they are comfortable to walk in.
These shoes are not just for keeping in your bag, but they do fold up and come with a great expandable bag to hold your heels.
These shoes are also great when you do travel as they take no space at all and with high summer sandals on the horizon these are the shoes to have in your bag to avoid blisters and the usual nightmare when you wear heels too long!
Also I have seen that I have worn my heels more, as before I would keep them for the evening and now that I have a gorgeous pair of flats to change into, I feel more comfortable embracing heels during the day.
I also have my eye on this gorgeous black lace pair that I could wear under an evening dress, they are a work of art, they are called the Royal ballet Perdita.
I have also selected some other great options, from Cocorose. I would love to hear what you think ?
