I recently went through a frenzy of wearing dresses, now I feel like a change and have moved onto shorts.

So many of my friends have shunned shorts but personally, I would much rather show my legs than my arms.  The key is to find the style that works for your body shape and not to go too short or too long.

Mid-thigh is most forgiving, I prefer a more wafting style as they make your legs look thinner.

The shorts featured below are from Bassike and years old, what I adore is that they are roomy and this has a shrinking affect on the perceived size of your legs!  The shirt is preloved from Harvey Faircloth, there are loads more on The Real Real.

Rag and Bone denim shorts are worth every penny and the Outnet has just had a drop of the best ones.  I have gone up two sizes as I want that loose vintage feel.  You can also find the brand on Ebay.

A boyfriend shirt or a smock top works so well as it balances out the fact that your legs are on show!  I would look in your local charity shop for a simple men’s shirt like the one I am wearing below. Check out NAKD!

I also love black runner shorts and Arket have a fantastic pair in stock at the moment.  They come in a myriad of colours.  Topshop also have a divine broderie anglaise pair which are a wonderful shape.

Last Summer I lived in a boxer style cotton short, 2019 is the turn of the jogger shorts.  American Vintage have loads of pairs on sale and I adore Frame not to mention the perennially brilliant Ninety Percent.

A simple sweater or a top works brilliantly and again The Outnet as well as Chinti and Parker have great pieces.

Also don’t forget a good tan (I am using Amanda Harrington) it works wonders.

Enjoy the weather!
