I have had lots of requests for a spring wardrobe update blog so here it is!
This is the time of year when we are desperate to cast off out coats and boots, but beware, I have often got carried away and ended up shivering later in the afternoon, when the suns strength dissipates quickly.
The first step is to ditch your winter coat and find a great lighter-weight replacement.
This season it is all about the quilted liners, but I actually prefer a simple cardigan.
Cardigans and oversized knits are brilliantly useful at this time of year and I have invested in a fabulous one from Bezva, which is currently on sale (size down). There are so many great ones to choose from.
Obviously, trench coats also come into their own at this time of the year. It can be tricky to get the right one and a lot of the wafting blogger/insta ones are just not flattering in real life. I would look for a preloved one from the likes of Aquascutum. I spotted one on my friend Elizabeth and it looked contemporary and fresh.
It’s also a great time to pick up a spring blazer and I would also firstly have a look preloved; I spotted Pallas or Officine Generale.
Update your t-shirts: H&M and The Outnet are my go-to and I have added my favourites below. Check out So Sue as well, I really want one of her new season breton tops.
All my joggers have been worn out in lockdown and I have my eye on the new season ones from Anine Bing; they are fitted and along with Suzie Kondi they offer a more tailored look.
Cotton jumpers: Check out Zara (thank you for the tip Elizabeth). Best £27 spent, perfect shape and finish and wonderful over a spring dress.
Leggings: I would just take a look at the new H&M collection; the fit is fabulous and they won’t break the bank.
Sezane have the best spring blouses and I have ordered a basket which I spotted on their site; big enough to carry my laptop!
I have added a few pairs of jeans too, as at some point, we know that we have to start putting on some proper clothes!
Shoes: Not sure how we are all going to adjust back to wearing them! I have my eye on a pair from Elizabeth Morris, but if you cannot face proper shoes yet then check out these trainers.
