Thank you Phoebe for inspiring me on this post, I love hats but they can often look so over the top . Seeing this gorgeous hat by Maison Michel inspired me to relook at hats.

This is the perfect way to kick off the seventies trend which is huge for 2015, Phoebe’sboutique Lark stocks agreat range of well priced pieces, pop in if you can or check them out online.

It is also a great way to cover a bad hair day and I get a lot of those as well as add a bit of va va voom to an outfit.

Hats are tricky and this brand gets it right, they are sylish but understated so the hat doesn’t wear you.

I think it is also important that if you do go for a pop of colour, that you tie that into the outfit, you can see that Phoebe, has reflected the green tones of the hat in her sweater. This ties the whole look together.

Just need to decide on a colour  which one to kick start 2015? I love the pink one below but I think I am going to look for one with grey and maybe an accent of blue.

These hats are on the expensive side but they are classics, now owned by Chanel they are the hat to be seen in.  I am looking for one on Vestaire Collective and Ebay at the moment so keep your fingers crossed, that I find one.

You can find the hats stocked on Farfetch , Lyst, Luisaroma, Monnierfrere and  Selfridges . The best style and the one Phoebe is wearing is the Virginie.

Other great hat makers are Borsalino which do gorgeous high end pieces such as the ones below.

A brand I discovered at the treasure trove which is Wolf and Badger, is a Penmayne, this is a british brand set up by Claire Howsen.

I think this brand is going to be huge. I love that she and her company are on a mission to bring back the hat. I love this one below !
