There are certain products that you hear about all the time and hyaluronic acid and prickly pear oil are two of the most popular.

I have bought them both before but to be honest I’d never bothered to research how or when to use them.

My gap in my skincare is for ‘pick me ups’.  I have a strict routine from my dermatologist Dr. Surbhi. Sometimes my skin just needs a rest from vitamin C and retinoids and I crave a more holistic product that lifts the mood.

I ran into DESAVERY skin care at London’s best Pop Up, Platform HQ.  The products are all natural and  the routine simple.

Apply the hyaluronic acid to dampen your skin (an absolute must, otherwise it will actually dehydrate your skin) and you must also seal it in otherwise the effect won’t last.  I sealed it with the DESAVERY serum, which is prickly pear based.

I cannot tell you how good the serum smells and it just lifts the spirits.  I find it gentler in the winter than my usual Vitamin C serum.  Yet it still brightens the skin and it contains antioxidants that help with collagen production.

Best of all, your skin looks dewy, it lasts and there is no need for a primer.  Also there is no oily residue left.

I would recommend buying the tester box as it also includes the cleaner and as the products are small it is fantastic for travelling.  I will use them every second day in order to rest my skin and I use the three steps if I am heading out in the evening to rejuvenate my face after a long day.

Shirt is Zimmerman from Sign of the Times and the rings are Adriana Chede.

Link to the shop is here and every box comes with instructions.  You can meet the brand at Platform HQ, 51 Marylebone High Street.
