As a Londoner who actually grew up here I am often asked lots of local questions, but one area I really know nothing about is the City- having neither worked or lived there.  Luckily for me my mother decided during half term to book a tour for the three generations with the lovely Emma Krais.

Emma is also a life long Londoner whose family lived in the city for generations. She now specialises in tours of London.

Our tour started in the amazing Museum of London (which I am ashamed to admit I had never been too), and then took us around the city walls and into one of the Guilds which we could only enter thanks to her.

One of Emma’s Lovely Tours

Emma takes pride in creating a fantastic experience for all her guests, and will do her utmost to adapt a tour to suit your party’s requirements. With tour highlight including Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley, Charles Dicken’s favourite inn and the Old Bailey, Emma keeps you thoroughly fascinated with her historic knowledge and involving stories around the areas you visit. She also offers chaffered tours around the city and a lovely Thames Pathway walk. Each day walk lasts between 2.5 – 3 hours, though the start time varies depending on your convenience. I found this to be a fantastic option for a busy family.

In addition to the wonderful information she shared to keep my children captivated during the tour she also identified special things that were going on in the city that day so that they could be interactive as well. Even months on they have retained what they learnt and have asked when we can do our next one.

Contact Emma through her site for more tour and booking information.
