I have been searching for a pencil skirt that isn’t too secretarial or airhostess like and I stumbled on this one from Preen . I bought mine in the sale at Matches and they have some fabulous ones still vastly reduced, like this one from Alexander McQueen . I think a pencil skirt is a great alternative if you want to dress a bit smarter and don’t want the formality of a suit or dress. I love the way Rihanna wears a pencil skirt and makes it look really cool!
I am going to pair the skirt with a t-shirt in early Autumn and then with a polo neck when the weather gets colder.
The t-shirt is by Isabel Marant, and sunglasses by Celine. The sweater below is by Madeleine Thompson and I cannot recommend her cashmere highly enough. It is very warm yet lightweight and therefore, easy to layer. The black mules are by Gianvitto Rossi .
I also want to mention this beautiful bracelet by Beaface, you simply email a picture to Annabel and she then makes this bracelet . It is a gorgeous gift and Annabel makes a contribution to Great Ormond Street for every item sold.
