I discovered My Beachy Side this summer at the Red Cross designer sale.
It is one of those brands that I really enjoy wearing. Unlike a lot of the other ‘in’ brands it is not all over Instagram, is fairly priced and even more so in the sale.
This brand creates handmade resort wear and I also very much admire that it is an ethical brand that provides steady jobs for underprivileged, yet talented, women in Turkey. Each of the artisans behind their pieces has a story: disadvantaged, unemployed and in some cases victims of domestic violence. At the end of the day the clothing is beautifully made and a joy to wear.
It is all about the handmade crochet detailing which set the pieces apart.
Or check out the Chelsea below.
They also have shorter versions but they are selling out fast! Check the Gardenia below.
I have the clutch below – it is finished beautifully and is the perfect summer bag, best of all, it is now $45!
It is one of those brands that works beautifully in the city and on holiday as the dresses are fantastically made and not flimsy at all. They get my vote but be quick, as they are selling out fast. I also found this lovely clutch below. You can also find it on sale at Matches
Well done Gamze Ates for pioneering this brand!
