I have been talking with my friends about the fact that when you need a dress, you can never find one and in most situations when you do buy one, you get it wrong and it languishes at the back of your wardrobe. If you do manage to find something, the searching under pressure takes the enjoyment out of shopping, on top of that you never have the right shoes or bag!

So buy a great dress when you see it, even if it is a bit more than what you want to spend or you cannot think of when you will wear it.  You will have an opportunity and it gives you the time to find the perfect accessories.

I am lucky enough to have fabulous parents in law and they have invited me to Opening of  the  Summer Exhibition Summer Party at the Royal Academy. I am so excited to wear my new Antonio Berardi dress which you saw mentioned in an earlier post.  I was expecting the sun to shine but unfortunately it is so cold so layering with an Isabel Marant bomber jacket, this adds a bit of an edge to the outfit. Shoes are from Gianvitto Rossi and the bag from D&G .

Feel a bit Cinderella like as been running around all day with week old hair and no iota of glamour, braving the school run in this dreadful rain.

My savior and recommended by friend Deborah is this Dragons Blood Mask by Rodial, it gives you a glow when you are feeling exhausted.  I also normally use these contouring wraps if have a big event, they do work and flatten your tummy – it doesn’t last though! But a great last resort.

Just back – loads of celebs and the colour of the night was white one of the best dresses was this White Cos number, we all loved the Kaiser Chiefs, thanks to the Harry Potter crowd for looking after me.
