I only have one pair of cycle shorts. I adore them but realistically I would prefer to substitute them for a pair of track shorts. The trend is worth examining as it is about proportions, matching a more fitted bottom with a more relaxed top.
This look is years old, even back to Princess Diana in the 90’s, and now championed by the likes of Hailey Baldwin (who is a generation younger!).
With no end in sight to our working from home and little or no necessity for formal wear, it is worth finishing off your active-wear outfits properly. Be it with a fresh pair of trainers, an appropriate bag, sliders or the best sweatshirt you can get your hands on.
So, I want to share some fantastic t-shirts, sweatshirts and sliders with you.
The luxe hooded top has become way more useful than any blazer and it is definitely worth spending money on. I am saving up for the Raey one
If you prefer a longer length check out Varley.
My favourites are from Lululemon; they are the most slimming and the perfect length.
You can check out PrettyLittleThing for boyfriend t-shirts, at £10 they are a real bargain.
We11done is as good as Balenciaga but at a fraction of the price and their hooded tops in pink and black are on sale at Farfetch.
Reserved has a wonderful edit of well priced cotton hoodies in wonderful colours. I am also a big fan of PacSun and their eye for sweatshirts is spot on. H&M also has loads of great pieces worth checking out.
I bought the Nike react trainers above, they are super lightweight. I spotted them at Office
I also love the Kassel Edition clutch bags.
My top tip is to keep it simple, plump for a colour scheme and stick to it. This makes mixing and matching so much easier. For me, this season it is shades of blue and navy.
