With the dark evenings here, and endless restrictions and lockdowns, we all need a bit of inspiration to get us through the winter months ahead.
Marta Ferri is an Italian fashion designer who revels in colour and flattering feminine shapes. I love the way she combines patterns and colour and makes everything look effortless. She is the girl at the party that everyone is asking ‘what are you wearing’?
A vintage lover, the retro feel is reflected in her collection.
What attracted me to her was her attitude to fashion – in her own words:
‘I live an intense life, I have kids to pick up from school, a husband that complains about luggage on trips, a work meeting at 6pm and a dinner straight after. These necessities pushed me to develop what you see here today, what I wear when I need to get things done, and look great doing it‘.
In my opinion, it is so much easier to build a wardrobe that works for you if you have people that inspire you.
Check out her website. Her prices are outside what I can afford but I have found some pieces which are all on sale and capture the essence of Marta’s style.
