As promised, this is the second  part of our Topshop feature, where I am reporting back on our Privaye Shopping Event, styled by the amazing Deborah Sherdian Taylor.

I am so glad that lots of you  loved the coat feature and today I am going show you the amazing array of party tops which we tried on. We all came away with at least one great piece, I will be wearing mine tomorrow night to ring in 2015.

It was great to have such a comfortable space, thank you Mark for arranging this for us, if you would like to attend our next event , please email us on  or contact the Private Shopping Service directly.

I am a  less is more disciple, party tops and sequins scare me, especially now I am in my mid fourties.

This is where Deborah came in, she selected for us the age and lifestyle appropriate pieces and she showed us how to style them.

We all fell in love with this great blouse, it is so well cut and comes in so many gorgeous colours. The next ruffle and the tie detail are really special.

Looking back at these pictures,I wish I had bought the red but I went for black. I think the nude colour below would work better on a brunette. Itis quite see through, so I would wear a tank top under this.

Then on to the sequins

This is a vintage piece and I love the off the shoulder detail,  it is stunning check out the ground floor at Topshop for these vintage pieces.

This top which the gorgeous Devina from Aurora living is holding is so D&G

This sequin jacket which Tanya spotted is perfect for adding a bit of sparkle .

I love the high neck and matt sequins on the top below as well as the muted colours.

This is a fabulous top worn by Susan and fringing is going to be a hot trend in 2015.

Topshop also had some great simple but styish tops such as this one, which reminded me of Chloe piece.

So Deborah’s Style tips:

1) If you are wearing a party top, makes sure the rest of your outfit is simple this should not be teamed with shortskirts it looks best with jeans or simple black trousers or leggings.

2) Go for a classic shape, the red shirt above works as the shape is really conservative

3) Look for matt sequins

So get on and get yourself some sequins for New Year and forget those safe black dresses!

SO EXCITED , we always host a party at home, just off to buy fireworks and stock up on champagne.
