I have tried so hard to avoid buying these jeans, I have literally tried on every pair of cropped, black jeans that I could get my hands on to find a better priced option but they just don’t measure up. If you are tiny, I agree you can get away one of the myriad of cheaper options but I have a bit of a belly and no amount of pilates or running can shift.

I put these jeans on and they fit like a glove and were so comfortable, I got at once what the hype was about. Normally these high waist jeans , leave me with a bulge around the tummy not these jeans , they flatten beautifully! I also feel this style can add inches to your thighs, not the Rachel Comey ones.

Leaving them behind was hard but I really wanted to be sure, I have thought about them everyday for the last two weeks and have conjured up all the outfits they would go with. They are also the perfect shade of black.

I found them at Viola and you can buy them online but if you do get a chance, try the brand, it doesn’t look exciting on the hanger but all the pieces fit and are just so easy to wear. Check out some of the pieces below from the designer. You can find the brand preloved,  I have included an amazing jumpsuit I found on Ebay , alas not in my size. While researching this piece I found a peplum top for £25 on ebay with tags.

The pair above are called the slim legion. I did not dive into this style, I trialed it on a cheaper pair from Nasty Gal and I have worn them so much that I know these will be worth the investment for me.

If you want to try this cut check these options from Nasty Gal, ASOS, Zara, Topshop  and the closest are these £50 pair above,  from Urban Outfitters.
