I have long loved RAEY, Matches in house brand, and it is one of the only brands I buy full price. Without doubt, they are the hardest working pieces in my wardrobe. They also hold their value as they seldom reach the sales and there is almost no stock in the PREOWNED markets.
I was lucky to meet their designer Rachel Proud last week and I wasn’t disappointed. This is a girls girl who just loves what she does and yet was happy to get her hands dirty by finding us the perfect pair of jeans. Everything is thought through meticulously and the focus is on fabric and a flattering fit. The collection is classic, and in her words ‘dress down or dress upable”.
We all fell in love with the jeans (below), they are like your favourite vintage Levis, just a hell of a lot more flattering. I am a UK 12 and bought the 28.
Next are the t-shirts; they are long so I am going to have mine shortened, but the V is so sexy and the fabric exquisite, like wearing a blouse in a t-shirt form, size down one size.
The coats are superb this season and my friends and I almost came to blows on the belted blazer! They are now sold out but there will be another run, so make sure you keep an eye out.
The cashmere is phenomenal, and true to size, and if you are looking for one investment sweater Raey is the place to go.
