It is the time of year, all the new season pieces are in the shops and it is time to hold your nerve because before you know it the 20% emails, will start flocking in.

Be prepared and get your WISH LIST ready, then you can strike quickly and not end up being diverted by something you don’t need.

Other than my Gucci loafers,  I am not buying anything new, until the sales. I am busy clearing my wardrobe and saving for those investment pieces.

Sales Lists

Above are the pieces I have my eye on, not all of them will be reduced or make it to the sales but they are all great classic items, that I have tried on and seen up close.

Lets start with dresses, these are my top sales buy, the olive green velvet dress is from Preen and it is so exquisite. I also love the off the shoulder version, from Emilio de la Morena, they both are that great midi length and classic with a twist. The Vampires Wife are my top tip for day dresses, I love the simplicity of the design. A great sweater dress is also such a useful piece to wear.

Jumpsuits are perfect for special occasions in Winter, as you don’t have to worry about tights or tanning. It is hard to find ones that fit, check out the ones from Reiss and the Outnet .

A great pair of trousers, is topping my Wish List, the Osman pair featured above, are exactly what I am looking for. Check out The Place for the best velvet trousers, already well priced at £250 .

Coats and jackets are my thing and I was lucky to have been shown the best ones from one of Selfridges top stylists Christos Christou. The grey joseph double breasted jacket, is something that you will wear and wear. The Dion Lee jacket is a fantasy buy. If you are looking for a Winter jacket, then check out KJ Laundry and the perfect Pea coat Coat from Filippa K.  I really want to invest in a great sleeveless coat to layer over sweatshirts this Winter,  one of my favourites is from Helmut Lang, already in the sales section at Matches.

Knitwear, where do I start, I have been stalking this military sweater by Hillier Bartley since last year, it is now 70% off at Matches. This is the perfect oversized knit, I tried it on last year and am still thinking about it. I will also be keeping my eye, on this side tie navy cashmere sweater again from KJ’s Laundry.

Tops and Shirts, it is all about the body and Wolford make the best ones, look out for one once the sales start and I love the cut of this white shirt from Equipment.

With jeans now looser, I need a great belt and the classic Saint Laurent buckle belt is the one to wear.

As for bags I think the Saint Laurent blogger bag at £590, is such good value and the perfect size and a classic shape.

Boots and shoes, well I am waiting for the sale to invest in the block heel, either the sublime Dries Van Noten Margo or the Saint Laurent babies. The midi heel ankle strap from Saint Laurent is also such a useful heel and worth waiting for. These round toe shoes from Maryam Nassir  at Browns, are exquisite too, ask for Amrit at Browns, she is super helpful.

Don’t forget accessories, I want these Rosantica earrings which Hannah Stafford Taylor featured in her pieces last week.

A piece which probably wont make it to the sale are these daywear pyjamas from For Restless Sleepers, they are glorious and something you will want to wear all the times.

I know there is a lot here but I often have pieces on my Wish List for years, it kind of helps me getting carried away with the Highstreet.

Everytime now, I am tempted to buy I think about my Wish List, in reality I will only end up with a couple of pieces but this list will help me figure out which piece I will get the most wear and fun out off.

My motto for the rest of the year is BUY LESS AND BUY BETTER !
