I promised myself, when I stated the blog, I would only write about what I am passionate about. I don’t want to bombard you all the time, as most of us have so much stuff, we just don’t wear.
Instagram and social media can we depressing watching everyone parading around in the latest ‘in’ piece.
Most of it is borrowed and bloggers are paid to wear the pieces, which they subsequently give back.
Now no longer ‘working’ by that I mean earning a salary, I have to hustle for my clothes and I love it.
Most of the most stylish women do, they buy at Sample Sales, Vintage Stores or stalk the Preloved Sites.
We also sell before we buy!
My moto is 1 in 5 out, it has taught me to spend more wisely and where to invest my money.
At the moment I am trawling Vestiaire Collective, eBay and popping into my local Preloved shops to try and track down those key pieces. This is the time to buy preloved as the sales are still a long way off.
I AWAYS LOOK PRELOVED FIRST, it has become a habit for me. Just give it a go but you must search for something specific, otherwise you will lose momentum. I also know if I cannot find it preloved, it is worth buying, as those with bigger budgets, are holding onto the pieces because they work. In some cases, you have to pay more than the new price, take Chanel Slingbacks. The jacket I am wearing is one of my best Preloved finds.
What is on my Wishlist ?
- A pair of amazing bloc heel boots, the ones I want from Saint Laurent or Gianvito Rossi, cost between £500 to £700, on Vestiaire Collective, you can if patient enough find them for £150 to £200.
2. Linda Farrow sunglasses, these can retail for up to £650 but I am patiently pursuing a pair on eBay.
