I was looking for a pair of Isabel Marant boots on Vestiaire Collective and a pair from Steve Madden, popped up. They were so reasonable and an exact replica of the Isabel Marant Andrew boots I was searching for , which sold out everywhere and are still selling for over £300 on Ebay.
I took a risk and ordered them, they are fabulous and I get so many compliments when I wear them. I normally am happy to wear highstreet but not shoes, as I have had so many bad experiences being crippled by cheap shoes. This started my Steve Madden obsession.
These boots have the same half leather, half suede finish and cone heel and the love the fit, they look great with everything and the heel is a wearable height. They don’t feel second best, they are just an exquisite boot.
Over Easter I popped into the Steve Madden store in Marbella, to take a look at the full collection. I ended up buying two pairs, a nude Saint Laurent look alike called the Stecy , as well as an homage to Aquazurra named Semona.
Best of all these sandals are all so comfortable and the material and finish are really good enough that I could not tell the difference between the Steve Madden and the originals. The ones above are called the Semona and come in loads of colours and heel heights, I have gone for the midi heel. It is on sale on ASOS, in gold and in Selfridges in black.
This is a shoe to block buy and wear day in day out when you need a heel. This is something I have been searching for as with the cobble stones and rain, I am always afraid of ruining my more expensive pairs. With prices from £39, this is such a great affordable brand and the fit and finish is much higher than anything on the Highstreet. They are not too tight and the tie detail gives me enough support to run around in them all day.
