I cannot believe that I have bought those furry Gucci loafers, I am almost embarrassed to admit it. I didn’t set out to buy them, I think I tried on every shoe and boot and I just couldn’t envision any of them been worn on a regular basis. That is my problem, I love comfort and have been spoiled by trainers and slides.

Sometimes, you just have to accept, that the reason certain items are wildly popular is that they work.  These shoes were like wearing my slippers and they compliment everything, cropped jeans, joggers and midi dresses, my uniform really. I have a pair of Celine slides I bought years ago and I wear them all summer and I hope these Gucci’s, will work the same way.

I love the way the super talented Pippa Holt, styles her glorious pair with a kaftan.

Midi skirts are touch to style but the loafers look great with them.

The loafers look better on than off and they make my large feet look small! The  red colour also goes with everything from black to navy and grey.

I don’t feel so bad, as I have cleared out so many pairs of shoes, I want simplicity in the mornings and to have a pair of shoes I can throw on like trainers and wear to death.

I think it is best to keep it simple and go for black or the burgundy.  I have checked Preloved and they are going for more than the new price, which is always a good sign.

They have stock at  My Theresa, the non fur version is also much more reasonable and you can find them at Net a Porter .

Zara are stocking a great pair as does Topshop but the best quality in my opinion are from Boden and are now in sale.

Also found someone on Etsy making a great version.

So there goes I am a follower and I love it !
