After seeing my friend Deborah in her super vintage leopard print coat before Christmas, I became obsessed by getting one.
There are so many on the High Street, Topshop does one every season but I wanted a true vintage feel, so this took a lot of searching .
I eventually found one at Poppy Vintage it is from Safari, a company famous for making the most exquisite leopard print coats in the 60’s.
The lustre of the fabric and the cut make this coat a ‘keeper’, this is a piece I will pass on to my daughter Luella .
To avoid the ‘Bet Lynch’ look look for well cut and simple pieces.
I can throw this coat on when I haven’t a clue what to wear and I am going to feel dressed up. Here I have paired it with jeans and a pair of trainers .
I have also worn it over black trousers and a polo neck too and then the coat does all the talking .
Yellow, I know I am boring you all with my obsession looks fabulous teamed with leopard print. The bag is from Furla, I cannot tell you how beautifully made it is and the price is very similar to Michael Kors but the finish is far superior.
Where to find a fabulous leopard coat, I have scoured all the websites and here are my top pieces .
Ebay is one of the best places to start, there is one on from Safari at the the moment . Vestaire also have loads including this gorgeous one from Blumarine. Check out this amazing Irish Preloved site Style Jump, they have the perfect leopard print trench for sale from Marc Jacobs. I also can recommend this one from Edit Secondhand. Not to mention this Topshop collectors piece from the Alexa Chung collection.
This is the perfect transitional look, we crave colour at this time of the year but it is still too cold for full on Spring, let me know, if you do embrace leopard.
