I have lots of clothes but when I have a special day event to go to ( doesn’t happen that often), I struggle with what to wear.
You don’t want to look like you have tried too hard, yet you want to make a good impression and feel comfortable. If jeans, jumpsuits and leather leggings, just won’t cut it and then, I am stuck ! My aim for the rest of 2016 is to invest in some grown up day time classic pieces.
I have been a bit diverted by the flood of new arrivals to H&M and Zara but I have placed an embargo now on any more impulse buys.
When I saw these Sofie D’Hoore trousers on my friend Deborah when we popped into The Place, we both thought that they were showstoppers but in an understated, chic way. This is not something I would have picked up but seeing them on, you realize how perfect the cut is.
We both hate dressing up but sometimes you have to and these trousers fit the bill, as you can wear them with a little vest now or with a polo in the Autumn. These are one of those trans seasonal pieces, you can always pull out.
These trousers are cut in a way that you get the most exquisite elongated waist. They are clean and modern and a great way to dress up in a not trying to hard manner.
The Sophie D’Hoore Pastis trousers are on sale now at The Place and will take you into Autumn and beyond.
The Place is my favourite place to head, as they stock all those best bits from less well know designers , they have a fabulous sale on so it is worth popping in. Also if you would like some wardrobe inspiration Deborah Sheridan Taylor is the best stylist I know and is lovely to boot!
