Nothing finishes an outfit like a great jacket. Yes, Zara does good ones- but in the light you can see the difference and sometimes you just need a piece you can rely on.
I came across this gorgeous Missoni jacket at Designs NW3. It was a size too big but after having it altered it now fits like a glove. It cost me no more than a Whistles jacket but the cut and fabric are exquisite.
Some of my friends don’t like the idea of preloved, but this jacket was hardly worn and it was already dry cleaned- so pristine.
This jacket is very well cut and it drapes perfectly. I can pair this with an ASOS pair of jeans, as pictured below, and the jacket elevates the look.
The problem with the high street is that you do tire of the clothing quickly. My friend Deborah compares it to a sugar rush- you want that sudden fix of something new but the high wears off just as quickly. There is nothing wrong with that of course, but it is important to mix it up with some better finished items.
The best way to keep an eye on preloved items is to register with the relevant shops. Designs at NW3 have a wishlist and I also check their Instagram regularly. I also love the bracelet featured above- from Aurora Living; it is so Valentino-like but a fraction of the price.
I will be featuring my top Preloved Shops during the week, so keep an eye on the blog.
If you really want something with the same look try Storets- I saw a very similar jacket .
I am also happy to keep an eye out for you- just email us what you are looking for and will email you if I spot something when checking the myriad of preloved options. Presently I am on the look out for a couple of Chanel jackets.
