I use Dr Lancer products and have written about them extensively as they just work for my skin. They are on the expensive side and when I was approached by Vichy to test their new anti ageing cream Liftactiv I decided to trial it, as it is so well priced.
I also was intrigued by the fact that Vichy have picked up on the fact, that at a certain age, women are noticing their lines getting worse as the day progresses.
When I am tired, I can wake up but on my make up look relatively fresh faced but then look in the mirror after lunch and be shocked by how exhausted and pronounced my lines are.
This is called ‘over day ageing’ !
So what is the science behind Liftactiv:
The cream works by using blurring particles that smooth out the surface of your face, so you see an immediate improvement when you put the cream on.
Then Adenosine ( similar to retinol) , works over the day to fill out the wrinkles and caffeine helps boost radiance .
The long term improvement in your skin is worked on by Rhamnose, which helps to thicken the skin and Neohesperidin ,which provides a protective barrier.
None of us are impressed with new ‘skincare’ buzzwords, we just want to know if it works? These photos below are ones that were taken ( no filters) while I was away and despite the sun, sand and wind my skin looks even and smooth.
Yes it does work, I used it for three weeks while away and my skin looked great from the moment I popped it on in the morning.
Honesty is key when reviewing skin products, I will go back to Lancer as I think I need that extra help with my skin being nearly 45.
I will continue to use Liftactiv Supreme, when I have a late night and also when I travel as it is a one stop solution, no serums and day and night creams, needed with this cream.
It is available at Boots and at thirty one pounds, is great value.
Let me know if you try it and please share any great skin saviours you love!
