I find it so hard to find dresses that I like, they are either too ‘mumsy’, girly or work like. I have this image of me gliding through my school run like a fabulous Notting Hill yummy mummy. Now that I have had a spray tan I feel it is time to invest in some new dresses.
Dublin is the place to shop for dresses as Irish ladies really do invest in this area of their wardrobe. Also dresses are easier to assesorize and comfortable.
So my first stop is Costume, the super knowledgeable Anne Tucker stocks the best range of dresses for all occasions. By the way she is rocking a fantastic long bob which gave me a case of hair envy.
Anne has a lovely way of steering me to try on things I would dismiss, this Antonio Berardi dress is perfect, structured (ie holds me in) is a great length and makes me feel super stylish. I also fell in love with this gorgeous white dress, by Caractere the heavy material and pockets set it apart. The sleeve and length attracted me to this Thakoon Addition dress. All these dresses are forgiving, age appropriate and can be worn day or night.
