All that outfit preplanning then you get off a 10 hour flight, to be greeted by the text that your bag has not made it on the flight!! All the things I should have done flash through my mind, know the brand of luggage, have it labeled with my hotel and home address, as well as have an inventory of what actually is in there. Once you start reading the BA website thoughts of never being reunited with my luggage start to cross my mind but I try to see the positive side, that I have never had such a great excuse to shop.
So armed with my $300 dollar compensation and the clothes I travelled with, thankfully neutral and lightweight I hit the shops, luckily in a city that never sleeps, it is very surreal even for me to be shopping at midnight!
I have to cover pool to work lunch to dinner date with my husband! I was lucky to find a Missoni shop and with a great sale, I got a gorgeous pair of palazzo trousers which I teamed with the top I travelled in and a black dress I could wear with the espadrilles I flew in from London in. For the pool I found a great bikini and cover up at the shop in the Bellagio from Tommy Bahama . By the way this brand has a brilliant collection of cover ups and ships to the UK.
Fingers crossed my bag arrives tomorrow
