God help us shoppers! The prices in the shops have completely lost the plot. If you wade through Net a Porter or similar sites there is literally nothing, other than socks or an odd t-shirt, for under £250.
I just cannot stomach the prices, especially when we all know that this Black Friday most of the pieces will be selling for at least 30% off!
So let’s start to try and find those sought after Instagram hits; the ones where the brands have sent out pieces to all the bloggers that have done am amazing job of making us salivate and desperate to press ‘purchase’!
The two options I am seeing everywhere are the short Max Mara Teddy coat called the Kiota (as featured below). Obviously, Ali Express have created their own version.
The coat is a great shape and colour, but at over £1,500, it is just too dear and I feel that it will get copied mercilessly. I have found a great alternative (see below). I love that this coat is wool and it is from Day Miss Furry I have ordered and it cost me £125.
Also, I just love the wool mix jacket from H&M below.
When you are thinking of your investment pieces, it is best to think longevity, yet whilst a lot of the Instagram hits tend to get replicated it is a huge shame if you have spent a fortune on the original. So, I always maintain that if you are investing, it’s best to stick to more classic pieces which won’t date.
